According to Hindustan Times, a biopic is now being made on one of Bollywood's most iconic stars ever: Madhubala. Madhur Brij Bhusha, the sister of the late 60s starlet confirmed the news. She said that an official statement on the cast and film title will be released at a later time. However, the biopic will be produced by people she already knows.
Madhur said, "I am going to create a biopic based on my sister, which will be produced by my very dear friends very soon. It’s my humble request to all the well-wishers of Madhubala and whosoever is connected with Bollywood or elsewhere to please not attempt a biopic or anything else based on my sister’s life without my permission. The details will be known to her fans and to all concerned when the right time comes. So, please try to avoid any kind of unpleasant situation."

It was also reported that Madhur had been planning to make a biopic on Madhubala ever since the latter's wax statue was unveiled at Delhi's Madame Tussauds museum last year. There are also chances that Bollywood beauty Kareena Kapoor Khan will be roped in to play the iconic actor.
A source close to Madhur revealed, "A number of people from Bollywood have repeatedly approached Madhur over the past few years to acquire the rights to make a film on Madhubala’s life. But she has always been clear that full justice should be done to her sister’s life and that’s why a film should be made in a beautiful manner. She thinks this is the right time to go ahead with it."
The insider added that the cast and director for the biopic haven't been decided yet. However, all the details will be made public at the end of the year. It confirmed, "Madhur won’t be directing the film. Only the top names are going to be involved with it."
