Petty corruption: CJ suspends three minor officials

Chief justice says corrupt employees must be removed from the courts.

LAHORE:
Chief Justice Ijaz Ahmad Chaudhry of the Lahore High Court suspended three court employees on Tuesday on charges of getting illegal gratification and initiated inquiries against them.

Messenger Ikhlaq Ahmad and peons Muhammad Anwar and Salamat Bhatti were caught on CCTV footage accepting bribes. The chief justice said such corrupt employees must be removed from the courts. He said CCTV cameras and other technology would be used to catch corrupt officials.
