Rescue officials said that four other people were injured in different localities due to heavy rains as roofs and boundary walls of their houses collapsed. One of the victims was identified as Akram.

The downpour also uprooted several trees planted alongside the road, causing vehicular traffic disruption. However, rainwater accumulated on streets and roads disrupted the flow of traffic.

Several cars were stuck in rainwater, while workers of the district government were not present to drain the accumulated rainwater from major thoroughfares. Many feeders also tripped and resulted in power outages in several districts.
