Pakistan’s business delegation visits Greece
Will look to enhance linkages between industrialists

Business linkages are very important for the economic growth of any country, said Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) Regional Chairman Chaudhry Arfan Yousaf while briefing members of The Chamber of Craft of Greece at Athens.
“Pakistani culture is very rich in handicrafts and they have a very glorious history,” said Yousaf. “Frequent exchange of business delegations between Pakistan and Greece will not only help enhance bilateral trade volume but also promote business activities and better linkages of businessmen and industrialists.”
He was of the view that low trade between Pakistan and Greece was mainly because of lack of trade contacts and sharing of related business information.

He said that Pakistani metal work consists of swords, dishes, boxes and tea sets made from gold and silver. “And Pakistani jewelry with precious pearls and stones are the most important and famous craft work,” he said. “Brass, wood crafts and onyx are famous for maintaining the high traditions of handicrafts from 1994 in Pakistan and perfectly show the value of the product.”
FPCCI recommends cut in sales tax to 15%
He highlighted that Pakistan, like other developing economies, is working towards being a value-added export-based economy. It is highly rich in minerals and this sector has lots of investment opportunities.
The Chamber of Craft Greece President Pavlos Ravanis noted that the Chamber is continuously upgrading and renewing its services and policies, always with a view to providing optimal services to its members.
