Senate reshuffle: Wasim Sajjad’s resignation accepted
Sajjad submitted his resignation earlier this month after his party PML-Q formed an alliance with the PPP.

Acting Chairman of the Senate Jan Muhammad Jamali accepted on Monday Senator Wasim Sajjad’s resignation as leader of the opposition in the upper house, paving way for the election of a new leader.
Senator Sajjad, from the Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q), submitted his resignation earlier this month after his party formed an alliance with the ruling Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) and joined the federal government.
