Pain clinic inaugurated in Bahawalpur

Quaid-i-Azam Medical College Principal Dr Javed Iqbal inaugurated the newly established pain clinic at Civil Hospital on Friday. This is the first clinic of its type in South Punjab where patients suffering from pains of different diseases would be treated.
Civil Hospital Bahawalpur’s department of anesthesiology and pain medicine would provide treatment to the outdoor patients on every Tuesday and Thursday at the pain clinic.

Pain physician consultant Dr Shahabuddin said patients would be treated through modern and internationally adapted methods. Different methods including neural therapy, prolotherapy, and epidural blocks like blockages would be removed to heal different types of pains.
He further said the patients of South Punjab would not have to go to Karachi, Lahore or Islamabad’s hospitals for pain treatment and would be successfully treated in their own area.
He thanked Principal Dr Javed Iqbal for his guidance and help in establishing the clinic and also thanked the department heads for their cooperation.
Earlier, Dr Iqbal inaugurated dental and physiotherapy ward.
