ISLAMABAD:
AJK Prime Minister Raja Farooq Haider on Friday reiterated to allow the residents of AJK to enter Indian Occupied Kashmir to “help their brothers and sisters under oppression if unrelenting carnage and tyranny in Indian Occupied Kashmir by India does not end.”

“We can weigh the option to allow our people to cross the (Line of Control) LoC and enter into the part of Kashmir under Indian occupation if India continues with its repressive policies in the occupied territory,” said PM Haider in a statement.

He is presently on a visit to United Kingdom. “If we decide so, the consequences will be grave and India will responsible of it.” He urged New Delhi to halt military action in IOK and allow the people of IOK to “decide their fate through democratic and peaceful means.”

The statement comes at a time when Islamabad has welcomed the recommendation made by the UN high commissioner on human rights to establish a commission of inquiry to investigate human rights violations by India in IOK.

Last week, the UN high commissioner on human rights had released a landmark report on IOK expressing serious concerns on human rights violations in the occupied valley and called to establish an independent international commission of inquiry.

A number of leading human rights organisations like Amnesty International and Human Rights Watch have welcomed the UN report on Kashmir and urged India to accept its findings and recommendations.

The Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) has termed the situation in IOK as deplorable and urged the UN Human Rights Council for an ‘appropriate follow up’ of the UN report on Kashmir.

“It is a matter of great satisfaction that United Nations, for the first time, clearly mentioned serious violation of human rights in Indian held Kashmir in its report,” said AJK PM. He welcomed the suggestion of UN human rights commissioner to constitute a probe commission to investigate the rights violation in the held valley.

PM AJK strongly condemned the murder of the Editor of Rising Kashmir Shujaat Bukhari and termed him a “strong voice for oppressed people of Jammu and Kashmir, which has been a silenced.”

“Indian Army is implementing Modi’s doctrine by eliminating Muslims of Kashmir with the calculated aim to change the demography of Muslim Majority in Jammu and Kashmir,” he said adding “Indian nefarious designs will not be allowed to be materialised.”

Haider said that his government will welcome any international organisation “to visit the liberated area and assess the human rights situation.”
