Bangalore thrash Chennai to go top
Delhi end IPL campaign on disappointing note.

Chris Gayle starred for Royal Challengers Bangalore, hitting an unbeaten 75 to lead his team to an eight-wicket win over defending champions Chennai Super Kings. The win also saw Bangalore go top of the points table.
Chasing 129 for victory, Bangalore’s effort was propelled by an 80-run second-wicket partnership between Gayle and Virat Kohli. Gayle belted four boundaries and six maximums in his brilliant knock. Albie Morkel finished with one for 16.
Earlier, Daniel Vettori claimed two for 15 to lead a fine bowling performance by Bangalore that restricted Chennai to a paltry 128. MS Dhoni played a captain’s knock of 70.
Delhi finish last
Delhi ended their season on a disappointing note, finishing last as their match against Pune was washed out after just 10.1 overs.
The hosts struggled against a disciplined Pune attack to end at 56 for three when the rain ended their IPL campaign.
