Eid Holidays: Railways’ earnings hit record high
Railways recorded earnings of Rs420.18 million in this period

Pakistan Railways earned a record Rs103 million on the first and second day of Eidul Fitr compared to Rs76 million in the corresponding period last year. “Pakistan Railways achieved this by offering 30% concession and better facilities on first and second day of Eid,” a Ministry of Railways official told APP. He said passengers showed a keen interest in travelling by trains after Railways announced 20% reduction in fares during Ramazan. “By reducing fares, Railways recorded earnings of Rs420.18 million in this period as comparing to Rs350.3 million during the previous year,” he added.
