Six officials to face the music
ACE director orders case be registered against accused

The Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE) ordered a case be registered against six people accused of corruption on Wednesday. ACE officials said that complainant Liaqat Ali, a resident of Kalor Kot Tehsil, stated in his application that contractors Shahbaz and Aftab, Kalor Kot Urban Union Council Administrator Muhammad Sohail Anwar, Engineers Imran Ahmad, Sikandar Hayat and Union Council Secretary Muhammad Yamin had embezzled Rs466,565 by misusing their authority and by using substandard material in a development project by the local government. On the report of Inquiry Officer Ghulam Ghous, the ACE director ordered a case be registered against the accused. Meanwhile, the ACE also initiated an inquiry against Punjab Education Foundation (PEF) monitoring incharge and revenue employees for misusing their authority.
