Seven-year-old girl raped in Hafizabad

Police claims to have arrested the accused

GUJRANWALA: A seven-year-old girl was sexually assaulted in Hafizabad Tehsil, police told Express News on Tuesday.

A police official said that M* went for tuition to Asad Sohail’s house where the accused allegedly sexually assaulted her and fled the scene.

The girl was shifted to a hospital for medical examination. Meanwhile, the police have registered a case against the accused and arrested him after conducting a raid in Mohalla Taj Pura. During interrogation, the accused confessed to committing the offence. Further investigation is under way.

Earlier, on June 16, a girl was raped in Rahim Yar Khan’s Zahir Pir area.



A police official said that S*, a resident of Zahir Pir area, was alone in her house when Shamoo and his friend barged in and allegedly raped her. When the victim raised a hue and cry, the accused fled the scene. The girl was shifted to a hospital for medical examination. Similarly, a 14-year-old boy was sexually assaulted in Mianwali. Z* lodged a complaint at the police station in which he stated that his 14-year-old son, a resident of Alam Khailanwala, did not return home after going out for an errand. Concerned for his safety, the father and the victim’s uncle went to search for the boy after some time.

They heard screams coming from the fields and saw accused Atif Khan and Amir Khan sexually abusing his son. When they discovered they had been spotted, the suspects fled the area. (Names have been changed to protect their identity)
