Shoot Out: Robber killed in police encounter
The accused was wanted on various counts of robbery, kidnapping and murder.

Police officials claimed to have killed an alleged dacoit in an encounter in the Ghulam Muhammad Abad police precincts on late Thursday night. According to police officials, three armed bandits riding on a motorcycle were signalled to stop near a police picket at 11:45 pm on Friday evening. Police have identified the decased as Mumtaz Ahmad, a resident of Mauza Saggal. Police also recovered a rifle 244-bore, 4 magazines and a bag filled with ammunition from the victim’s possession of Mumtaz. Matto was wanted in the district as well as in Chiniot, Jhang and Pindi Bhattia on various counts of robbery, kidnapping and murder.
