Fahad Mustafa draws ire after 'ridiculing' little girl on Ramazan show

Actor later tries to present his side of argument and honestly, he could've done so much better!

Fahad Mustafa is a stellar actor. There's no denying that. His movies, Actor in Law and both installments of Na Maloom Afraad have fared quite well at the box office.

One of the reasons he has become widely famous is because of his game show, Jeeto Pakistan. The programme's Ramazan transmission has always garnered millions of viewers and thousands of audiences.

Sahir Lodhi attracts public outrage for wrongly accusing girl of ‘insulting’ Quaid-e-Azam

However, Fahad landed himself in trouble following Jeeto Pakistan's recent episode on June 13, where he ridiculed a little girl on live television.

Farheen, a contestant on the show, drew a sketch of the Actor in Law star, which upon taking, Fahad promptly commented, "Itna bura dikhta hun mein? (Do I look this bad?)"

He, then went on to ask his daughter to comment on the picture and then told Farheen to never draw again.

Anum Kausar, a student from IoBM, took to Facebook to share her thoughts on one of the episodes she stumbled upon from the show. "I’m beyond disgusted with how Fahad Mustafa thought it is okay to insult, bully and degrade a child young enough to be his daughter," she wrote.

"This girl drew a sketch of Fahad Mustafa and personally I thought the doodle was super cute, but not him NO. Not only he made fun of it again and again but also had the audacity to ask the child not to draw again," continued Anum. "That’s crushing someone’s dreams, passion and art right there! How could one artist do that to another is beyond me and that too on national television."

To Farheen, who drew the picture, Anum lauded her efforts and wrote, "To the girl who likes to draw, keep on doing that. You’re amazing. Never let anyone tell you to stop drawing or to stop following your dreams and passions. I hope this reaches you."

Anum's post spread like wildfire and many came forward to condemn the actor's behaviour on the show altogether.

Debate participant turns the heat on Sahir Lodhi in latest video

Using a narrative from Fahad's show, one user tweeted, "In one of this show of Fahad Mustafa, he degraded a little girl who made a drawing of him. Instead of appreciating it, he bashed her by saying that it wasn't up to the mark. On the other side he said to one of his volunteers *moti hogayi ho, kam khaya kro* on the live show in front of the huge crowd."

Responding to the criticism on another episode of Jeeto Pakistan on June 14, Fahad said, "I'm not active on Facebook. But I've come to know that when yesterday I asked the girl to improve her drawing, someone became offended. Everyone in Pakistan should stop being offended and start being blissful. That's how we talk to children, that's how I talk to my children. Please applause for the girl."

Well, this wasn't any better to be honest. We wonder if Fahad will ever address the actual issue, which is shaming people in the name of entertainment.
