Uvas: Workshop on business ideas concludes
UVAS hosted a two-day workshop on ‘Prosperity through entrepreneurship.’
LAHORE:
The University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (UVAS) hosted a two-day workshop on ‘Prosperity through entrepreneurship’ that ended on Saturday. The workshop was the first round of the Discover Business Plan Competition being conducted by the National University of Science and Technology (NUST). Students from UVAS, the University of Engineering and Technology Lahore, COMSATS and the Lahore University of Management Sciences took part in the workshop, where they shared their business ideas. The entrants judged to have the top three ideas will take part in the second round of the competition. UVAS students Shoaib and Bilal Sohail won the first position. Mohsin Ali, Farman, Nouman and Omer Iqbal of the same university placed third. NUST director for innovation and entrepreneurship Dr Qasim Sheikh gave the students a lecture explaining the difference between creativity and innovation.
