For Peshawar, the appellate tribunal constitutes Justice Afsar Shah and Justice Mussarat Hilali. They will hear and dispose of appeals against the decision of returning officers for rejecting or accepting nomination papers of candidates for general seats of national and Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa assembly. The will also adjudicate on appeals against reserved seats for women and minorities. For Abbottabad, Justice Lal Jan Khattak has been appointed as the appellate tribunal to hear appeals for the nomination papers of candidates aspiring to contest NA and K-P assembly seats.

Similarly, Justice Muhammad Ghazanfar has been appointed as the appellate tribunal for Mingora and Swat while Justice Abdul Shakoor has been appointed for Bannu Bench and Justice Ijaz Anwar for Dera Ismail Khan.
The K-P chapter of Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) is currently scrutinising the hundreds of nomination papers it has received for both the general seats and the reserved seats. The process is expected to be completed on June 19 when a final list of accepted and rejected nomination papers will be announced. Candidates can file appeals against the decision of the returning officers until June 22, which these appellate tribunals will hear and dispose of by June 28.
A total 683 nomination papers have been submitted to the poll body by candidates for general seats of the national assembly from K-P.
For the provincial assembly, as many as 1,959 nomination papers have been submitted which are being scrutinised.
253 nominations received for women and minorities seats
For the reserved seats of women and minorities, for both the national and the K-P assembly, a total of 423 nomination papers have been filed with the ECP K-P chapter.
The ECP spokesperson added that so far, they have completed the scrutiny of 42 nomination papers submitted for reserved seats.
