Ambassador encouraged to play role in building country’s relations
KARACHI:
French businessmen of Pakistani origin are being encouraged to promote high-quality products of Pakistan and play their role in building Pakistan-France economic and commercial relations.
Ambassador of Pakistan to France Moinul Haque made this appeal during the first ever roundtable conference of French businessmen, investors, traders and entrepreneurs of Pakistani origin held at the embassy in Paris recently, according to the statement.
French envoy reveals action plan to boost mutual trade
The ambassador urged participants to pool their strengths and experiences in an organised manner and help create linkages between the businessmen of Pakistan and France with the objective to bring a paradigm shift in the existing level of bilateral trade and investment relations between the two countries. In this regard, Haque proposed creation of an association of the French businessmen of Pakistani origin, which would serve as an effective and useful forum for promoting business relations.
Former French leader Sarkozy held over Libyan funding inquiry
The meeting also agreed to jointly plan and execute Pakistan’s representation in different trade shows, investors’ forum and business events held in France for promoting Pakistan products in diverse sectors. Earlier, Commercial Counsellor Moinuddin Wani gave a detailed overview of the current status and future prospects of the bilateral trade and economic relation between Pakistan and France.
