In a bid to boost the morale of the police force, Balochistan Inspector General of Police Moazzam Jah Ansari has said that a comprehensive plan has been devised to avert the challenges being faced by the officers in the line of duty.

The Balochistan IG stated this as the chief guest at the passing out parade of the 86th batch held at the Police Training College (PTC) located on Sariab Road in Quetta on Saturday.

One-hundred and eighty police officers completed their nine-month long training course. Addressing the newly-trained officers, the IGP said, “Being present among these newly-trained officers makes me happy.”

He said, “These are the proudest moments of my life where the fresh recruits have completed their training and are standing before us under the scorching heat of the sun despite fasting in the sacred month of Ramazan.”

“I see these officers have mastered the essential skills needed to ensure the safety of the people once they go out of this training college. However, credit of their alertness goes to their teachers who deserve compliments," he added.

He told the newly-trained officers, “Now the prestige of the police force is in your hands and you have to confront criminals and militants courageously.”

The IGP further said that officers from these ranks are among those who have been martyred. “So far, 887 police officers from different ranks have embraced martyrdom in the line of duty."

In his concluding remarks, he gave clear directives to those officers who were performing their duties for privileges and salary that they should leave the police force. “You must abandon your duties if you are serving for privileges and salary. In the police force, it is eagerness that leads to serve or embrace martyrdom,” said the IG.
