‘Best of Bhakkar’ magazine comprises 70 year’s history of the region

District Administration Bhakkar has completed various developmental, welfare and governance projects that have not only improved the ranking of Bhakkar District, but also given a new identity to this historical city.  In this regard, the district administration launched e-libraries, MSc classes in various government colleges and other related projects.

This was said by Bhakkar Deputy Commissioner Syed Bilal Haider during a meeting with journalists at his office on Friday.

“During the last one year, the district administration has completed many special projects that increased the fame of the region at national level,” he added.

He maintained the administration also highlighted the culture of Bhakkar, famous personalities, agricultural economy and historical importance by launching a magazine ‘Best of Bhakkar’ that chronicles the history of the region.

He pointed out the magazine will be distributed in universities, colleges, railway stations, governmental offices and other institutes of the country.

The DC said that regular classes for MSc had been started in six different subjects in 24 colleges of the district.

Bilal Haider said that the first ladies health and fitness club was established in Bhakkar, while 668 women had gained membership of the club. He said E-library consisting of latest computers and books will be built for ladies in the coming days.

He mentioned that Thal Arts Council was also being established at a cost of Rs160 million.
