Punjab plans online tax payment
PRA has already collected Rs100 billion compared to the total target of Rs115 billion before the close of this month

In her farewell remarks, Punjab Finance Minister Dr Ayesha Ghaus Pasha praised the Punjab Revenue Authority (PRA) for its efforts to improve tax collection by the province. She said PRA had already collected Rs100 billion compared to the total target of Rs115 billion before the close of this month while in 2013-14, the total tax collection stood at Rs43 billion.
“It is their revenue collection and target achievements that have always helped the provincial government in planning and initiating new development projects,” she said, adding measures were also being taken to introduce an online electronic payment system where all provincial taxes could be paid via one single portal to facilitate the taxpayers.
