Ptcl dues: UAE to take up issue with Etisalat
Malik, Privatisation Commission meet UAE ministers and government officials to resolve PTCL-Etisalat issue.
ISLAMABAD:
The Privatisation Commission (PC) has said that the UAE government has assured Pakistan that it will take up outstanding issues of Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL) with Etisalat for an amicable solution.
In a statement, a PC spokesperson said that Federal Interior Minister Rehman Malik, being a member of the cabinet’s sub-committee constituted to resolve issues related to PTCL including outstanding proceeds, discussed these matters during an official visit along with the PC secretary, and that it was not a secret trip.
In this regard, they held meetings with the minister concerned and officials of the UAE government.
