Health secretary says it is a dream come true for the people of Makran

QUETTA: Balochistan Health Secretary Saleh Muhammad Nasir has said that educational activities have kicked off in Makran Medical College, which “surely is a dream come true for the people of the division”.

“Educational institutions can bring about a positive change in society as this medical college will help overcome the dearth of doctors in the province,” said the health secretary while addressing an inaugural ceremony of Makran Medical College’s first year classes.

Additional Health Secretary Dr Abdur Rauf Sheikh, Makran Medical College Principal Dr Sayed Abdul Rauf Shah, tribal elders and academic staff were present.

Nasir said, “This is a historic day for Balochistan and will not be forgotten for centuries.

"I am optimistic that Makran Medical College will prove its worth on national level."

He urged the students of the college to pay full attention towards education and perform their level best.

The health secretary also announced distribution of laptops, computers and uniforms among the students.

The additional health secretary said, “The medical college in Turbat is a gift for its people as it will provide equal opportunities to male and female students and ensure quality of education as well.”
