Second polio case emerges in Duki
Eighteen-month-old Farzana diagnosed with crippling disease

A second case of polio has surfaced this year in Duki some 228km from the provincial capital on Monday where an 18-month-old girl was diagnosed with the crippling virus.
According to health department sources, Farzana, daughter of Noor Muhammad, was diagnosed with polio virus in the Viyala Union Council area of Duki. The first polio case had emerged from the same area.
Balochistan about to be declared polio-free: Zehri
In April, three-year-old Safar Baloch was diagnosed with the polio virus, and Farzana’s case has pushed the total number of polio cases in Balochistan to two during 2018.
Pakistan, Afghanistan and Nigeria are the only countries remaining in the world where still polio virus is active and endangering children towards lifetime disability.
