Nawaz slams PTI's K-P tenure as 'abysmal'

Deposed prime minister Nawaz Sharif on Monday slammed Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf's (PTI) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) tenure and termed the party's governance of the province as 'abysmal'.
Addressing the media outside the accountability court, the former premier questioned which projects were initiated and completed by the ruling PTI in the province and added that everyone can see what happened to the 'tall' promises made by PTI chief Imran Khan.

Nawaz also remarked regarding the selection of Manzoor Afridi as the caretaker chief minister for K-P and said PTI Senator Ayub Afridi's relative has been selected as the province's caretaker chief minister.
The former premier also said the ruling Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) was the only party that can be credited for working throughout its five-year tenure. He further stated that the ruling party completed power projects, introduced the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) and restored peace in Karachi. "We uprooted terrorism, constructed motorways, earlier, there was load shedding for 22 hours in Ramazan, now the power supply remains uninterrupted."
The ousted premier further said he was earlier accused of hijacking and is now under trial for holding an Iqama and drawing an 'imaginary' salary. "Both the cases are incomprehensible for the people," he added. "My stance remains the same as when I was in Attock Fort. My stance will be victorious," he added.

The three-time premier lamented that he only remained in power for two years. "We could have done so much more had we completed our five years," he added.
