AIOU to work with Chinese varsities
The AIOU intends to collaborate with five Chinese universities

As part of the government’s efforts to develop an educational corridor under the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), the Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) is working on a comprehensive plan to form partnerships with Chinese firms to collaborate on educational projects.
This was disclosed by AIOU Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Shahid Siddiqui on Sunday while reviewing the on-going projects for setting up Chinese language centres in Pakistan in collaboration with Chinese Universities. The AIOU intends to collaborate with five Chinese universities, including the Open University of China, Sichuan University, Beijing Shanghai Open University, Beijing Institute of Graphic Communication, Yunnan Normal University and the Yunnan Open University in Kunming.
AIOU to provide vocational training to prisoners
In this regard, Dr Siddiqui said that they had made considerable progress in setting up a language and cultural centre in Gwadar in collaboration with the Beijing Institute of Graphic Communication.
