LAHORE:
A man reached the district and sessions court, seeking a case against his son for allegedly ‘gossiping with his girlfriends’ late at night from his cell phone; even in the holy month of Ramazan.

Haji Sadiq told the court that he had been making efforts to restrain his son from talking to girls for several months.

However, he added that all his efforts had been in vain and his son Irfan completely ignored him.

He said that he also found his son talking to girls on the rooftop of his house late at night.

The father said he strongly warned Irfan to stop these conversations, but the son paid no need to his requests. The petitioner added that he told his son to pay attention to his studies to ensure a better future, but none of this made any difference.

Sadiq stated that he noticed his son talking to someone on the phone a few days ago and asked him to hand over the cellular device.

However, the son refused, saying he was talking to a friend. He refused to hand over the phone, which made the father’s doubts even stronger.

The petitioner warned his son to refrain from all such activity during the holy month.

He ultimately reached the Shahdra police station to get an FIR registered against his son, but police officials refused to file the same. He urged the court to direct the SHO to register the FIR against his son. However, the judge sought comments from the SHO.
