Five people killed in during past 12 hours

FAISALABAD: Five people were killed in different incidents in the district during past 12 hours. A police official said on Wednesday that Muhammad Haneef was killed while Mazhar Iqbal, Zahida Bibi and Shahida Bibi received injuries when their rivals opened fire at them over an old enmity at Chak No 416-GB. In another incident, 45-year-old Nisar Ahmad of Chak No 232-RB was tortured to death by Tariq alias Tara Dogar of Ahmad Nagar over a monetary dispute. Muhammad Ahmad, 18, a resident of Green Town Gojra, drowned in Jhang Branch Canal while taking bath. Meanwhile, a speedy tractor trolley hit and killed a motorcyclist Waqas, 27, at Sammundri-Gojra Road. A labourer Saleem of Chak No126-GB was electrocuted while working in an under construction house in Bilal Ganj area. The police have registered the cases.
