NEW DELHI:
Our skin requires different things depending on the weather and it's a real challenge to keep it soft, protected and glowing with the changing seasons.

However, Shikhee Agrawal, Head - Training, The Body Shop India and Sambhavna Vasant, founder of BathItUp have shared tips to keep skin healthy and glowing this summer.

1. Hydrate

Your body loses a lot of moisture in the summer. So, it is essential to hydrate your body throughout the day. Drinking 10-12 glasses of water and increasing fruit intake will keep you hydrated and fresh all day long.

2. Moisturise

Make sure to follow the ritual of cleaning, toning and moisturising before you go sleep.

3. Cleanse and exfoliate

It is very important to cleanse your face twice a day. Don't forget to also use a scrub two to three times a week to shoo away the stubborn dirt.

4. Sunscreen

Many people tend to forget to use sunscreen when they go out. But it is one of the most important things to do as sunscreen helps in saving your skin from the harmful UV radiations which can do a lot of damage.

5. Stay low on make-up

For achieving the lit-from-within glow, the most important thing is to stay away from heavy makeup and indulge in the habit of washing off any sticky bacteria from your face to keep the skin glowing and fresh.

6. Treat your skin

A good way to keep your face fresh in the summer is treating it with a cool tomato and lemon mixture. You could also make ice cubes of the mixture and use on your face for cooling, soothing and hydrating effects.

7. Home-made face masks

Face masks made from the kitchen can really do wonders for your skin - keeping it glowing and smooth. Milk and honey are particularly helpful or you can also opt for fruit face packs.
