Corruption charges: NAB summons former CEO LPC

NAB had arrested five top officials of LPC on charges of embezzlement.

LAHORE: The National Accountability Bureau Lahore (NAB) has summoned former Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Lahore Parking Company (LPC) to appear before an investigation team on Tuesday (today).

Former CEO Hafiz Nauman has been called at 11am to the NAB Complex at Thokar Niaz Beg. He has remained a close aide to Hamza Shahbaz and also head of board members of LPC.

In April, NAB had arrested five top officials of LPC on charges of embezzlement. The arrested accused persons included CEO of the company Taseer Ahmed, CFO Usman Qayyum, General Manager Faizan Wali and Accounts Manager Saad Rafique. NAB had also arrested the National Technology Group CEO Faisal Rao in the case.

Meanwhile, an accountability court sent former Director General Lahore Development Authority (LDA) Ahad Khan Cheema on a 15-day judicial remand to jail.
