The district administration will take strict action in accordance with the law against profiteers and hoarders, Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Sara Hayat said chairing a meeting of District Price Control Committee on Friday. The meeting finalised the rate list of the essential commodities. Anjumane Tajran President Shahid Ghafoor Paracha, Market Committee Secretary Mian Siddique, representative of wholesalers Afzal Kasana and other officials concerned were present on the occasion. Sara Hayat said, though, the rates of fruits and vegetables are directly linked with demand and supply but, the administration would not allow anyone to indulge in hoarding, profiteering and artificial price hike. Magistrates have been directed to visit the wholesale markets and bazaars.
