RED's hydrogen phone with full 'holographic display' set to launch
The Android device will be the first handset to offer a 4-View (4V) holographic mode
The first full holographic display smartphone is set to hit the market. According to mobile carriers AT&T and Verizon, RED is set to launch the Hydrogen One.
You can now get an Android phone for $80
The company is known for its high-end digital cinema cameras and will be creating the first handset to offer a 4-View (4V) "holographic mode," according to Verizon.
The device will also support high-quality audio and a fancy camera that will be able to connect to the other cameras made by the company.
RED founder Jim Jannard has hyped up the device by stating that the 5.7-inch Hydrogen One phone displays "better than a 3D image" without glasses.
The carriers have not announced the final date of release but they have confirmed plans to carry it in the summer.
'Android uses your location even when you disable tracking'
Along with this, AT&T and Verizon have revealed that the phone will launch alongside a hydrogen network - an exclusive network of channels with 4-View content, including movies, music and games.
The pricing is not final yet, but RED did take pre-orders earlier this year with two models priced at $1,295 and $1,595.
