Hamesh Khan remand extended till June 9

KARACHI: An accountability court in Lahore extended the remand of former president of Bank of Punjab Hamesh Khan till June 9.

Hamesh Khan, the main accused in the Bank of Punjab fraud case, was presented by NAB officials in the court. Hamesh's remand was extended when he expressed satisfaction with the investigation process.

Hamesh is accused of sanctioning loans worth Rs9 billion to Sheikh Afzal, the chief executive of Haris Steel Mills, on fake identity cards.

NAB said so far Rs6.10 billion have been recovered in the Bank of Punjab scam case.
