A man was gunned down in  the Sihala area on Sunday. Police said three men allegedly intercepted Mukhtar Ahmed’s car at Mohra Kalun village and shot him dead. Sihala police have registered a murder and restraint case against Binyamin, Iftikhar and Waqas on the complaint of the victim’s father. However, no suspect has been arrested as yet.

In another violent clash, at least three men were stabbed and injured in Panjgaran, in Shahzad Town police jurisdiction. Police have registered an attempted murder case against five persons but have made no arrests yet.

Two new kidnapping cases have also been reported after a man went missing from Karachi Company and a woman from G-11 Markaz.

Meanwhile, at least two houses and a shop were looted in various areas of the capital. Police said suspects made away with gold and cash from a house in Panjgaran in Shahzad Town police area, while another house was looted in Thandapani neighbourhood of Nilore police.

Moreover, Shahzad Town police have arrested a man for stealing from a shop while Bhara Kahu police arrested an auto battery thief and recovered a stolen tractor battery from him.

Furthermore, police say they have also traced a blind murder case in which a man was gunned down in Tarlai Kalan in Koral police area on May 5. Police said the suspect, identified as Ahmad Waheed, has been arrested.
