The art of sculpture: Five-day workshop at PNCA begins
Workshop aims to provide opportunities to the young generation and help them realise their potential in the field.
ISLAMABAD:
A five-day sculpture workshop organised by Pakistan National Council of the Arts started at the National Art Gallery on Tuesday, said a press release.
Three artists, Sajjad Akram, Ayub Wali and Imran Hunzai, will be training the participants. On the first day, the participants, students from colleges and young artists, were briefed about the basics of sculpture, its history, tools and materials used and the methods employed in sculpting.
They were also asked to sketch images to ascertain their drawing potential. The workshop aims to provide opportunities to the young generation and help them realise their potential in the field, and encourage them in adopting it as a career. The participants will be awarded certificates after the workshop.
