Police arrest waiter, security guard

The situation remained tense on Tipu Sultan Road Sunday after firing allegedly took place during a scuffle between a private guard and the waiter of a nearby restaurant.
Upon receiving information, police reached the scene to bring the situation under control. The police detained the guard and waiter and shifted them to the Ferozabad police station.

Ferozabad SHO Nasarullah Khan said owners of the restaurant, Bella Vita, and the security company had no link with the case. "It was a scuffle between a guard of the security company and a waiter of Bella Vita," the officer said, adding that the brawl started over a parking issue.

According to the SHO, the security company's guard had objected to cars being parked in front of the company's office as it caused problems to clients who visited the office.
Fahad Memon, who claimed to be an eyewitness of the scene, reported that the guard was drunk and opened fire during the scuffle. The SHO, however, denied such reports, stating that the police did not find any evidence suggesting that the guard opened fire. The officer added that both, the guard and waiter, were being questioned.
No case was registered till the filing of this story.
