Mangoes to the US: First-ever batch to be exported in June
Shipments will be dispatched every week from Lahore.

Pakistani exporters are likely to send the first-ever batch of mangoes to the US from June 1, 2011 as all the protocols which were pending with the Government of Pakistan and United States Development Authority have been resolved.
In a press statement issued on Tuesday, Harvest Tradings Pakistan CEO Ahmad Jawad said that, according to the information available with them, till date Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service has issued seven permits to US buyers.
All the shipments will be dispatched every week on Wednesday from Lahore to Chicago from June 1, he said. US buyers have been bound to irradiate first at Sadex Corporation, Sioux City in order to distribute the mangoes to different parts of the US.
