Influential people tried to take possession of a 19-kanal plot which belonged to Bank of Punjab on Ferozpur Road. Bank of Punjab took possession of the 19 kanal plot, worth 49 crores, in 2004 over the nonpayment of debts. The bank deployed security guards on the property, but a man named Masroor Ahmed Khan attempted to occupy the land. He assaulted security guards and pushed them away from the property after which the bank submitted a report with the Achara police station. Security guard Muhammad Arshad was the complainant. The current value of this property is Rs1 billion rupees, according to the bank’s stance in the application. It asked that a case be registered against the influential people trying to take over the bank’s plot.
