Punjab University Center for South Asian Studies (CSAS) organises seminar

The Punjab University Centre for South Asian Studies (CSAS) has organised a seminar on “Nuclear Regulatory Framework and Oversight Process in Pakistan” on Wednesday. Pakistan Nuclear Regulatory Authority former chairperson Dr Muhammad Anwar Habib was the speaker while CSAS Director Prof Dr Umbreen Javaid, faculty members, MPhil/PhD scholars and students were present on the occasion. In his lecture, Dr Muhammad Anwar Habib gave an introduction of Pakistan Nuclear Regulatory Authority and discussed why regulatory mechanism is important for Pakistan. He also discussed the importance of PNRA, OGRA, NPRA and PEMRA and their role in governance is. He emphasised on human development with special reference to capacity building. Meanwhile, Punjab University’s Centre for South Asian Studies (CSAS) will organise inaugural ceremony of book titled “Jang-e-September Ki Yadain by Altaf Hassan Qureshi” on Thursday (today) at 3pm in its auditorium. Let. General (r) Abdul Qadir Baloch will be the guest speaker.
