College Of Art And Design: Calligraphy exhibition opens

Punjab University Vice Chancellor Prof Mujahid Kamran inaugurated a paintings and calligraphy exhibition by college lecturer Arif Khan at the Anna Molka Art Gallery of the PU College of Art and Design here at the Old Campus on Tuesday.
Speaking on the occasion, Prof Kamran said man’s aesthetic sense distinguished him from other living beings and so it was important to engage this sense. He said such exhibitions fostered human creativity. He said the university students loved calligraphy and painting and always learnt a lot at such exhibitions. College principal Prof Rahat Naved Masud said Arif Khan was a polite teacher and painter and his work was very well respected in the market. She said calligraphy showcased both the design and painting skills of the artist. Faculty members and students also attended the inauguration.
