LAHORE: Justice Shahid Karim of the Lahore High Court (LHC) on Tuesday sent a petition pertaining to closure of all unregistered driving schools and academies, to the Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) directing him to hear the petitioner and decide the matter in accordance with law. Petitioner Zohaib Imran Shaikh, a local lawyer, had filed a petition contending that almost all the driving schools and academies have untrained and non-professional instructors. The petitioner said these academies were just minting money from the public. He implored that these driving schools and academies have no licenses to run the business. He requested the court that those schools and academies be closed which either had no licenses or untrained and non-professional staff.
