Crackdown: Police nab 21 drug dealers, seize narcotics

All suspects were arrested during raids in different areas

In a crackdown against drug dealers and illegal weapons, the district police arrested 21 suspects and seized huge quantity of narcotics from their possession during 24 hours.

A police official told Express News that on the directions of Sargodha DPO Muhammad Sohail Chaudhry, Kot Momin police seized 1.34 kilogrammes of hashish from Ikram, a resident of Matila. The police also confiscated 1.20 kilogrammes of hashish from Muzamabad resident Sajjad, while a pistol was seized from Jahangzeb in Phalwaran area.

Similarly, Sahiwal police seized 1.10 kilogrammes of hashish from Javed, 1.10 kilogrammes of narcotics from Ilyas Maseeh, while 600 grammes of drugs from Kot Kalan resident Rukhsar. The Tarkhanawala police confiscated 210 grammes of hashish from accused Khalid and a pistol from Noraywala resident Mohsin.  In another raid, Urban area police arrested accused Amir Sajjad and seized 220 grammes of hashish from him.


The police also nabbed Fateh Sher and took into custody 200 grammes of narcotics.

Shah Nakdar police raided a hide out and apprehended Bilal. The police confiscated 1,085 grammes of hashish from his possession.

Meanwhile, the police also rounded up Asghar Ali, Zulfiqar Haseeb, Idrees, Amjad, Ikram, Shahid, Ghulam Raza, Mohsin and others from different city areas and sized liquor and drugs from them.
