‘E-Rozgar programme to be expanded’
Programme was launched as a pilot project in three districts including Lahore, Faisalabad and Rawalpindi

The Technical Education and Vocational Training Authority (TEVTA) will train 5,000 young adults by expanding its e-Rozgar programme to 11 districts, said the authority’s Chairman Irfan Qaiser Sheikh on Thursday.
He expressed these views during a briefing about the programme.
This programme was launched as a pilot project in three districts including Lahore, Faisalabad and Rawalpindi.
However, after the success of the programme in these districts and the wonderful response we received, TEVTA has decided to expand this programme to a further 11 districts, he informed.
These include, Bahawalpur, Chakwal, Sailkot, Gujranwala, Sahiwal, Multan, Chiniot and Khushab. During the course of the pilot project, several students had already started earning while some were earning as much as $74 for the task they were given, he revealed.
More and more women should reap the benefits of the training; they will be able to earn a handsome amount of income while sitting in their homes, he added.
