ISLAMABAD:

The performances of Norwegian and Pakistani artists in a rare concert, “Fusion in the Evening”, left audience mesmerized at the Open Air Theatre, Lok Virsa on Monday.

Unfamiliar with the each other’s native languages, four Norwegian and three Pakistani artists met only a few hours before the concert and began practicing, communicating by means of their musical instruments. Despite the constraints the performers gave an excellent performance and received a standing ovation by the audience.

“They played a blend of music one has never heard,” said Babar Kamal, a visitor. A Norwegian participant, Atle Hetland said, “It was a unique evening, making us all proud.”
