Bibian Pak Daman: ‘Shrine must stay open Monday night’

The LHC on Monday directed the Auqaf Department to keep the Bibian Pak Daman shrine open all of Monday night.

LAHORE: The Lahore High Court on Monday directed the Auqaf Department to keep the Bibian Pak Daman shrine open all of Monday night on the death anniversary of the mother of Hazrat Ruqayya Bibi (RA). The court passed this interim order on an application filed by Syed Waqar Hussain Naqvi. The authorities began closing the shrine at 8pm as a security measure last year. It also referred to the chief justice a petition against the nightly closure of the shrine for the constitution of a full bench.
