Cellular network to invest net profit in Mohmand Agency

The money will be invested in the health education and communication sector

SHABQADAR: Cellular network providers have decided to invest their net profit in Mohmand Agency as a social responsibility on their part in health education and communication sector, according to reports.

Political Agent Mohmand Wasif Saeed, while giving details of the project in Mohmand, told the media that the decision was made in a meeting held at the agency headquarter of Mohmand, where apart from the political administration official commandant FC Muhammad Irfan, the regional heads of major cellular services also participated.



Saeed urged the regional heads to invest their net profit under Community Social Responsibility for the health, education and communication sector. He also requested them to share their three years plans for this purpose.

The regional heads of the cellular providers have assured the administration that they will invest their net profit share of 2 to 4 per cent in these fields.



It is for the first time in Fata that a multinational institution will invest under CSR in Fata, which will boost the development of the region.

Officials from the political administration and law enforcement agencies also visited the check posts in Mohmand Agency and met the security staffs on duty.

The officials noted that after the disbanding of some check posts on the main road, capability of the troops will be enhanced in all respects.
