SIALKOT: A police official allegedly sexually assaulted a girl after abducting her in Sialkot, Express News reported on Monday.

The widow, a resident of Hunterpura, lodged a complaint to police officials in which she stated that Muradpur Police Station Assistant Sub-Inspector Shahid and other policemen barged into her house and abducted her daughter at gunpoint.

She added the accused took her to Patri Nahar, Marala Ravi-Link Canal in a government vehicle where he tried to rape her.

However, on raising hue and cry, the accused took her daughter to Muradpur police station and sexually assaulted her the whole night.

She said the next day the accused sent her home and threatened them of dire consequences if they said anything about the incident to anyone.

The woman demanded of Punjab Inspector Gebneral of Police Arif Nawaz, provincial ombudsman and regional police officer to take immediate notice of the matter and provide safety to them.

Meanwhile, accused ASI Shahid told Express News that all allegations leveled against him were baseless. “I recently took action against some criminals and they are now trying to implicate me into this matter,” he said.

When contacted, Muradpur Police Station SHO Khurram Cheema said, “We are investigating the matter and will take action when true facts will be transpired.”
