PM Haider back from UK after a week

PM led a protest rally in London on arrival of Narrendra Modi to attend the Commonwealth summit

 ISLAMABAD  : Prime Minister Raja Farooq Haider Khan arrived in Islamabad on Saturday after completing a week-long visit to the United Kingdom.

The prime minister was warmly received at the Benazir International Airport in Islamabad by senior minister Chaudhry Tariq Farooq, Auqaf minister Raja Abdul Qayyum Khan and large number of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) workers.

During his stay in the UK, Prime Minister Haider led a mass protest rally in London on April 18 on arrival of Indian Prime Minister Narrendra Modi to attend the Commonwealth summit.

He visited the House of Lords and House of Commons and held important meetings with British parliamentarians to brief them about the latest situation in Indian occupied Kashmir.

The PM also addressed a conference organised by the Jammu and Kashmir Right to Self Determination movement at the House of Commons. He also spoke at the Kashmiri community gatherings held in different cities of the UK.

Earlier at Heathrow Airport, the PM was seen off by leaders and workers of the PML-N’s UK chapter.

Soon after his arrival in Islamabad, Prime Minister Haider directed the concerned authorities to make necessary arrangements for shifting of ailing former prime minister of AJK Sardar Sikandar Hayat Khan from Kotli to Islamabad for medical treatment.

Condolences

Prime Minister Haider has expressed his deep grief over the sudden death of Assistant Chief Planning officer of Planning and Development Department of AJK government Raja Sheraz Qammar. He conveyed his heartfelt sympathies to the bereaved family and prayed for the departed soul.
