Four LePark officials remanded in NAB custody
Four officials of Lahore Parking Company handed over to NAB on a 15-day physical remand in corruption case
LAHORE:
An accountability court on Friday handed over four officials of Lahore Parking Company (LePark) to National Accountability Bureau (NAB) on a 15-day physical remand in a corruption case.
Earlier, the NAB officials produced company's officials including LePark Chief Executive Officer Taseer Ahmed, Chief Financial Officer Usman Qayyum, General Manager Faizan Wali and Accounts Manager Saad Rafique and National Technology Group (NTG) CEO Faisal Rao before an accountability court Judge Syed Najamul Hassan.
The NAB officials submitted that the accused officials violated Punjab Procurement Regularity Authority (PPRA) rules and illegally awarded contract to the NTG and Green Park, causing loss of millions of rupees to the national exchequer.
NAB requested the court to grant physical remand of the accused for investigation.
