British high commissioner meets Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif
LAHORE:
Lauding the performance of the Punjab government in health, education and other sectors in Punjab, British High Commissioner to Pakistan Thomas Drew stressed the need for strengthening Pak-UK relationship and cooperation in different sectors including bilateral trade.
The British high commissioner expressed these views during meeting with Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Thursday.
The British HC said the performance of the Punjab government in health, education and other sectors was laudable and a result-oriented strategy has been adopted for the development of different sectors of life. He said Britain held its relations with Pakistan very important.
“Cooperation with the Punjab government in health, education, skills development and other social sectors will be promoted,” he said.
Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif said there were vast opportunities of investment available for British investors in different sectors in Punjab.
