LAHORE:
Rescue 1122 Director General Dr Rizwan Naseer said a comprehensive mechanism to provide a stipend to undertraining cadets has been chalked out so they could meet their personal and household expenditures.

He expressed these views while addressing the cadets of Basic-28 at Emergency Services Academy Thokar Niaz Beg on Tuesday. He directed the deputy director (finance) to ensure the provision of a stipend to cadets without any further delay.  This process should not be suspended at any cost, he emphasised.

He shared that he treated the rescue service and cadets like his own family. The DG further said he himself had confronted problems when he was launching this modern emergency service, but he, along with his team, continued to deliver with full passion. “Now Rescue 1122 is the largest humanitarian service in Pakistan with infrastructure in all 36 districts of Punjab.”

Encouraging the cadets, he said they were the chosen individuals from society to serve humanity.
