LAHORE: Technical Education and Vocational Training Authority (TEVTA) Irfan Qaiser Sheikh has said that the authority has successfully completed 12 sessions of the Chinese Language course and provided free training to more than 23,000 citizens. He said this while addressing a meeting on finalising the future plan of the Chinese Language Course on Tuesday at the TEVTA Secretariat.  Irfan Sheikh said that TEVTA had set a target to teach the Chinese language to 0.1 million students across the province. He said that the target had been set keeping in view the region’s China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) project. “CPEC has brought more than 40,000 jobs of Chinese interpreters in the country and this number will increase with the passage of time,” he said. He maintained that after successful completion of 12 sessions of the course, the 13th session will be held in three shifts in 24 district of Punjab.
